The October 16, 2009 issue of Science Magazine published a paper entitled "Teachers' Participation in Research Programs Improves Their Students' Achievement in Science." The National Science Foundation has issued a press release announcing the paper.

This informal session provides an opportunity for networking among former RET participants and program administrators representative of a variety of programs and geographic locations; provides an opportunity for sharing classroom connections, successes, and obstacles "back in the classroom"; and discusses useful professional development and other programmatic strong points.

RET programs, found at many universities throughout the country, are changing the face of science education in the United States and abroad. This session will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about research conducted by RET participants across the country and to get information on upcoming opportunities.

She was one of the chief organizers of the three national RET Conferences as well as the original administrator of this website.
